Introduction: The body of the eyeglass fish is very flat, thin and high, shaped like eyeglass lenses, hence its name. Generally, the body length is 10-20cm and the weight is 75-200g. The abdominal contour has a large curvature, with a convex and thin abdominal margin and a slight curvature on the dorsal side. The scales are tiny. Small mouth, tilted upwards like a tube. The anal fin is low, and most adult fish are buried under the skin. The pelvic fins are small, but two of them are particularly elongated. The tail handle is short and flat. The caudal fin is deeply forked, and the upper and lower lobes are of the same length. The upper part of the body is dark blue, the lower part is silver white, the pectoral fins are light yellow, and there are 2-3 rows of black circular spots smaller than the eye diameter on each side above and below the lateral line. As a mid to upper level fish species, it is distributed in the Indian Ocean and Pacific Ocean. China produces in the East China Sea and South China Sea, with the South China Sea having a higher yield and certain economic value. It has a high protein content and average nutritional value.
